Today is Your Day to
Build Your Health

"Let him who would enjoy a good future
waste none of his present."

Roger Babson

What part of your health would you like to improve? Would you like to lose a few pounds? Do you want to get a little more fit or lower your stress levels? Do you want to find a natural remedy? Do you want to slow down aging, or lower your risk for disease?

We are all meant to thrive. Our bodies are tailor made for health, repair and maintenance, thanks to billions of years of evolution. It's on the job 24/7 working to keep you healthy. With the right tools, it can work miracles. But without the right tools, well, that's another matter. The body starts to break down and degenerate before its time.

The good news is you can do something about it! We can't affect getting older, but we can affect how we get older.

The essentials in the health building toolbox are nutrient rich foods and exercise. Nutritional supplements are also an essential tool. In this, the 21st century, they are no longer optional for optimal health. Not any more.

Then there are herbs and other natural remedies, such as colon cleansing and detoxification, as well as alternative health practices. These are your tools. Something will work for you. You just have to look for it.

Good health is not just about living longer. It's really about living longer productively, and living disease or pain free, or as close to it as you can.

Prevention is the key, and that's where you come in

Building health is a process, and is a result of what you decide to do today. It starts with a vision of your future health and a few goals, which provides the pull.

Start where you are, but don't wait too long

It's never too late or too early to build your health! You just have to decide. Then once you start, you have to decide not to give up. If any one person can do it, so can you. But it does require your participation. Building health is not a sideline activity.

There's nothing you can do about what you did yesterday, last week, or last year. BUT...there's a lot you can do today. You can't change the past, but you can change your future by focusing on today.

Build health habits that won't fail you

Start today, start small, stay steady. Anything you do repeatedly eventually becomes a habit. Wait for it. Don't give up too soon. Like all change, you'll get a little resistance from your body and mind as you reset your habits. But if you stick with it, you'll like what you see and you'll like how you feel.

Take Small Steps

No matter how big the achievement, it always starts with one step. The Great Wall of China? One brick at a time.

So what can you do today? Can you eat a salad today? Can you pass on dessert, or drink water instead of a soda? Can you switch to whole wheat bread for white? Can you get out for a short walk today or do that extra rep at the gym? Maybe a smaller portion for dinner tonight. Can you switch to light beer and maybe a few less? Even small actions are rewarded.

So take that small step today to build your health. Then take another tomorrow.

"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come.
We have only today. Let us begin..."
